The vision was given in August of 1984 with three initial scriptures given to us:
- “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” Genesis 2:24
- “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church.” Ephesians 5: 31-32 - 31
- “and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, ” I Corinthians 1:25-29, specifically verse 28
Thanksgiving of 1985, I went on a trip with a Pastor Friend to New Orleans, LA to attend a Pastor’s School at the 1st Assembly of God of New Orleans. The Senior Pastor was Marvin Gorman. The fist service we attended was Friday morning. This was when the Lord started to give the Vision for Bethany World Ministries. It was so complex and clear at the same time, yet it took months to realize the fullness and the extent of it. The completed Vision was given Sunday night Service as Pastor Gorman was ministering. I could hear him, but at the same time I was listening to the voice of the Lord as He was showing me on a screen the complete Vision. This was the first time I was able to experience anything like this.
The best way I can describe this Vision is that it was like a negative film of the complete vision being burnt in my spirit faster than my words can describe. The totality of the vision was given to me but I did not understand it.
We must be more with those that are less. “No human wisdom but by His Spirit”; God sees the attitude and God receives the disposition of the heart. “Blind Obedience without understanding; guided by My hand, guided by my Spirit.”
John 3:8, “The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
Songs of Solomon 6:10 “Who is she who looks forth as the morning, Fair as the moon,
Clear as the sun, Awesome as an army with banners?”
This Ministry will be composed of three pillars that are described in the Bible. There are three things the Lord commands of His people that are key to being able to minister:
Truth / Humility/Justice
On April of 1986, at a Jesus Festival in Orlando, the Lord spoke to me through the director of the Ministry Group Truth, and gave me this scripture:
Habakkuk 2:3-4 “For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”
Verse 4” “Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; but the just shall live by his faith.”
On June 1986 The Lord spoke to us thru Pastor Pablito Santiago for us to eat the book of Job; he wanted for us to read it together and meditate on it, as sign of things to follow in our lives.
On July 27th, 1986 we were ordained in Puerto Rico, at the “Iglesia Bautista Bethel, whose Pastor is Marilu D. Reyes. That night Pastor Carlos Reyes preached and Marilu presided over the ordination ceremony. The message was on Timothy and was read to us as a sign for our lives. And the following scripture was to be a sing for what the Lord was calling us unto:
34 “Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’ 37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.” Mathew 25: 34-40
One of the signs of the Ministry will be the anointing for the miraculous on my life and the complete healing on Madeleine’s life. He specifically instructed me not to have my heart set on a program, and to be always be led by His Spirit. Time and time again He has reminded us of his instruction to have “OBEDIENCE WITHOUT UNDERSTANDING”.
It was granted to us to freely ordain ministers that will not be part of our Ministry, that the Lord has shown us, but will go on to their own callings and ministries.
We have dedicated ourselves to follow His instructions over the past 30 plus years and have been instrumental in helping other ministers be ordained; having helped start churches and provided counsel to Pastors in the launch and establishment of the churches, to make sure that what the Lord has given us freely, to impart freely to others. We have implemented discipleship for men and women of God and imparted them with the gifts given to us to see them flourish in their ministries and walk with the Lord. With one scripture in mind” “Let a man so consider us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. 2 Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful.” 1 Corinthians 4: 1-2
